Bleaching / Whitening

Tooth discoloration is normal as we age; it is also caused by staining from the foods we eat, or chemical damage. Bleaching is a cost effective method of teeth whitening. In extreme cases of discoloration, a crown may be the only option but as a tooth bleaching is inexpensive your dentist will always recommend that you give it a try before progressing to more invasive treatments.

Modern bleaching techniques can give you the smile of your dreams, and they are quick, easy, safe and inexpensive. It is possible to bleach a part of your mouth such as the upper or the lower, as not everyone shows off both upper and lower areas when they smile.

To bleach the teeth we make a customized splint and provide a bleaching agent to place inside the clear colored splints. As the splints are clear they are not visible and if you wear them for a few hours a day the stained enamel will whiten. This process is done at home and is completely safe as it does not alter the tooth structure at all.

We also offer Opalescence Boost©, an in-office whitening that uses the latest in technologies.

Opalescence Boost features a unique, chemically activated formula that allows your dentist to whiten your teeth without the bothersome heat or ultraviolet rays of a light. Opalescence Boost also contains potassium nitrate and fluoride, which help to improve oral health by strengthening enamel, decreasing sensitivity, and offering increased cavity prevention.
